GODLY MOTIVES
A little boy crawls up on his mother’s lap. He brings her a picture that he has drawn or some little windblown but-eaten flower. He says, “Mommy, I brought this for you because I love you.” What a thrilling experience that is! Can we think God would settle for anything less? How different it would be if the lad brought his gift and said, “Mommy, I knew you were gonna git me if I didn’t offer you this gift.”
