GETTING STARTED GOD’S WAY
Herb Jackson was a missionary who was assigned a car, which would not start without a push. Pondering the situation, he devised a plan. He would go to the school near his home, “borrow” some children to push the car for starting. Then he would make his rounds for the day . . . always parking on a hill or leaving the engine running. He used this method for two years. Ill health eventually forced the family to leave. Before departing, the replacement missionary came and looked under the hood as Herb proudly explained his method. “Why Dr. Jackson, I believe the only problem is this loose cable.” He gave the cable a twist and to Jackson’s astonishment, the engine roared to life. How tremendous is the power available to us who believe God. — Ephesians 1:19-20 By E. Beevers
