HARD OR SOFT GOD?
The idea of a soft, indulgent God is illustrated by what was said about Harold Geneen, CEO of ITT. People weren’t sure about his unusual name: it was often misprinted as Geheen or Green. Even ITT employees weren’t certain how to pronounce it. There was a joke about it: “Is the g hard as in God, or soft as in Jesus?”
