KANSAS CITY CHRISTMAS
We went to see the lights on the plaza in Kansas City last Friday night as we were celebrating our daughter’s birthday. Oh, the place was beautiful. Even though it was chilly outside, we rolled some of the windows down. Do you know why? It was the singing! People were standing on street corners singing about the birth of Jesus! People were riding in carriages singing of our Savior. “Oh come let us adore Him, Jesus Christ the King.” Beautiful! People, strangers, were yelling out “MERRY CHRISTMAS” to one another! Buildings were decorated with the STAR. Some places had scenes of angels in their windows. Lights were everywhere! I was in no hurry to leave although it was after 11:00 PM. I enjoyed the joy! You see, after two thousand years the light still shines. After two thousand years the gospel is still being brought forth, led by a baby born 2,000 years ago in a stable. Jesus has made silent…
