DREAM INGREDIENTS
Many of the characters in the Bible were dreamers. They envisioned themselves doing what they were able to do with the help of God. Perhaps they dreamed alone, but I would like to think they had people around them who encouraged them with their dreams. It would have been very clear to Nehemiah if his wife was not supportive of his dream to build a wall. When he announced his intentions to go to Jerusalem she could have said, “Honey, you are supposed to be carrying the wine not drinking it.” But she must have encouraged him because he built a wall. There are three ingredients for dreaming dreams for God: Revelation, Confirmation and Perspiration. By Lew Button, Fellowship Community Bible Church, Fishertown, Pennsylvania
