A college professor, who later became a great evangelist, tells of a time he visited the famous Chicago landmark, the Pacific Garden Mission on South State Street. He said that he went down to sing and help wherever he could. “One night Holland Oates preached. He had been only to the fifth grade, and he butchered the king’s English.
