Baptism | Children | Faith | Salvation | Value

EARLY IDENTITY
The story is told of a grandmother who proudly presented her two young grandchildren to her friend. “Oh,” remarked the friend, “They’re so cute. How old are they?” The question brought the definite response, “The lawyer is two and the doctor is four” ! In a humorous way, the story depicts the hopes every parent and grandparent shares — that the children of their families will become “someone” of importance when they grow up. Today we baptize. We don’t have to wonder what this child will be when he grows up. We already know that he is indeed someone of importance. He is a child of God. CK
