SISTER ROBBED A STORE
A grandmother took her two grandchildren to the store with her. When returning to the store, the older brother told his grandmother that his sister had taken an item from the store. The grandmother was in a hurry but knew that she needed to go back into the store with her grandchildren and return that which had been taken. Later, when they were at another store, the person at the checkout counter turned to the kids and asked, “Have you been good children so that Santa will give you nice presents?” “Oh, yes I have been a very good boy,” the brother answered, “but I’m afraid my sister just robbed a store.” Adapted from a submission by Billy Strayhorn
