STRETCHING THE STORY
A couple of good buddies spent a considerable amount of their time fishing together or talking about their fishing experiences with other friends. On one such occasion, one of the fisherman friends said to the other, “I’ve noticed that when you tell about that one fish you caught a while back when we were up at Jake’s cabin, you keep changing the size of the fish you caught. Are you having trouble remembering?” His story-telling friend turned to him and smiled. “Nope, I just hate to stretch the story beyond what I think each listener is going to believe.” From the Friar’s Club
