WAY OF CAIN
An old- time southern preacher was putting the finishing touches on his sermon at the Sunday morning breakfast table, getting ready to take his wife and house full of kids to Sunday worship. His sermon was to be entitled, “The Way of Cain.” His youngest, a toddler, climbed up in his lap and on top of the table. As he lifted her down, he failed to notice that she had placed her hand in the jelly and then on his Bible. He scooped her up, called the family, and they were off. When the preacher got up to preach, he announced his message and began to read from Genesis 4:16: “And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
