FAITH
For an illustration of mindless faith I like the conversation that takes place between Irwin Troll and Gaylord Buzzard in the Broom Hilda comic strip. Gaylord is reading the daily paper and observes, “First we have a fuel shortage and now they talk of a possible food shortage!” But Irwin Troll smiles and responds, “That works out perfectly! Before there wasn’t enough gas to get to the store. Now there’ll be no reason to go! Things always work out right when you have faith!”
