CHRISTMAS WISDOM
The wisdom of the world is: “Don’t just stand there. Do something!” But the wisdom of Christmas is: “Don’t just do something. Stand there!” Stand in quiet stillness and praise God for the gift of Christmas. Stand in wonder and awe of the God who set aside the robes of eternal deity to put on swaddling clothes and lie in a feeding trough. Be like the shepherd, the star gazer, the old temple priest named Simeon, who, in the midst of a busy world, had time to worship, adore, and celebrate the child.
