Sunday was always a consecrated day of rest in the ten Boom household. However, for Corrie, Sunday afternoon became a time when she had “church” for the feebleminded. When she had a girl or boy who wanted to join the clubs, or when she was told by the pastor of a person who was disrupting the church service, Corrie invited that individual to her “special” church. She wrote in her little book Common Sense Not Needed: I started a work to bring the Gospel to feeble-minded people who were not in institutions. They were not able to go to church; they could not understand the sermon. But did they not need the Lord Jesus, just like you and I?
