TIE UP LOOSE ENDS
A few weeks ago I preached at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church in Greeley, Colorado. Prior to the adult sermon, we had the children’s sermon. I asked the children to tell some of the ways they are disciplined when they do wrong things. In retrospect, I think that a boy in the group said “time-out,” but at the time, it sounded like he said, “they tie me up.” I was taken by surprise by what I thought I heard. I turned to the boy and said, “What, they tie you up?” Everyone was laughing so loud at that point that I never did learn what the boy really said. Maybe he really does get tied up. By Michael Hodgin
