TOO LONG TO WAIT
Two friends were talking together. The first man asked, “How did you enjoy the play last night?” His friend who was making a genuine attempt at raising his level of sophistication answered, “Oh, it was fine, but we only got to stay for the first act.” “Why did you only stay for the first act?” his friend probed. “Well, I wanted to stay for the whole thing, seeing this was the first play I ever attended, but the program said that the next act was taking place three days later.”
