THROW- AWAY SOCIETY
As I was driving through the small town of Mart, Texas, I saw a sight that at first I laughed at, but the more I thought about, became a parable of modern society. At one house, it was obvious that the folks had just moved in. There were empty moving boxes piled at the curb for the trash collectors to pick up. There was a young boy having a ball playing with all of those boxes. He had worked his way right smack dab into the middle. He was surrounded on three sides by boxes. All that could be seen was from the waist up. He was just standing there grinning. But he looked like he’d been thrown out with the garbage. That got me to thinking: We live in a throw away society.
