CLOSED DOOR TO UNWELCOME GUESTS
David Johnston of Savage, Minnesota recently wrote to tell us of a personal encounter with a creature of the furry kind. David returned home and was greeted by his son at the door, “Daddy, we have a little friend in the house.” David responded, “That’s nice.” “Daddy, the little friend is in your bedroom.” David was now aware that something was unusual about his son’s information and went to the bedroom. As he entered the room, he caught the glimpse of a chipmunk tail as the frightened chipmunk darted for shelter under the dresser. The screen door had been left open and the furry little chipmunk had found a new home. The options were limited: There was no net and no one wanted to use their hands to catch their little pet. The conclusion: reverse the process! They opened all the doors and left well enough alone. Within five minutes the chipmunk had returned to the great outdoors. David…
