SHINE THE LIGHT OF JESUS
On the pulpit in our church there is a small brass sign which is seen only by the preacher. It reads: “Sir, we would see Jesus.” It reminds me that my job as a pastor is to reflect the light of Christ to the congregation and to the world. Do you desire to see Jesus today? If so, then go to the place where Jesus would be found: the place of service. Is there someone to whom you could lend a helping hand or word of encouragement? Then again, that seems too easy and neat. Do you really want to see Jesus? Is there a need that you are aware of but has always seemed beneath you? Chances are that you will find Jesus with you in meeting that need . . . The office toilet that never seems to be clean; the elderly person who cannot reach to clip their toenails; the garbage that no one else is…
