GARY’S GOSPEL
Gary cleans carpets. Or at least he tries to. For years he has shared the gospel about as much as he has cleaned carpets. He could have probably made more money if he had spent more time cleaning carpets and less time sharing the gospel. He doesn’t complain about it, though. He seems to think that telling people about Jesus is worth the opportunities that are lost for doing other things. The part that is so encouraging is that many lives have been touched by the love of God and the message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Gary has willingly paid the price to obey what he considers is his Christian mandate to tell others the good news. A few months ago, however, Gary contracted an infection in his foot. He spent a couple weeks in the hospital and had to go back in on another ocassion. Healing was slow, carpet cleaning was impossible. But the bills kept coming in.…
