SOMETHING TO LOVE
A few years back it was reported in an Illinois newspaper that a woman had abducted a three- week-old baby. When the authorities finally apprehended the woman who had taken the baby, her explanation was simply, “I just wanted something to love.” They discovered later that within the last several weeks this woman’s father and husband had died, and she had suffered a miscarriage. She was left with no one who cared for her. She was left with no one. She “just wanted something to love.” Adapted from On Tiptoe with Love, by J. T. Seamand
