BABES IN THE LORD
Not too long ago, on a chilly Saturday morning, I was sitting watching my son play in a soccer game. I don’t know how many of you have seen a wild gang of seven year olds play soccer, but it is a nerve- wrecking, nail-biting sight to behold. Just imagine almost two dozen screaming, running, clawing, panting, crying, laughing little tykes, and you’ll have a clear picture of a soccer game! Julie, my wife, and I were sitting on a set of bleachers. Down in front of us there sat a mother who was watching her son play,it was obvious that her attention, her concentration was centered in on that boy out on the field. In fact her attention was intensely focused on the survival of her child. At the same time, right in front of her was another little boy, her youngest, a lad of about age two or three.
