GUEST OF DISHONOR
A man was invited to a wedding reception with a friend. He didn’t know anyone there so he played the role of an observer, watching the feasting and singing. As an observer, he couldn’t help noticing a particular young woman who was sitting alone in the corner of the room. She was happy and pleasant, but no one paid any attention to her. He became more and more curious until finally he asked his friend who she was. His friend replied, “Don’t you know? Why that’s the bride.” Perhaps she felt a bit like Jesus during Christmas . . .
