Of all the books on church growth that I have read or even know about, the following is the best! It provides an historical and oganizational overview of the church growth movement. It provides a biblical basis and practical “how to” advice on maximizing the church’s impact regardless the size of the church. It emphasizes the “meta-church” concept by infiltrating the structure of the church with high-quality small groups. “…the church of the future, though far bigger than the typical parish of today, will not be known for its central meeting spot, but for its small- group-ministry ‘franchise.’ In the business community, a franchiser like MacDonald’s provides know-how and product recognition, while the local franchisee supplies the local contact with customers.
