LIFE ISN’T FAIR
One of the things I try to teach my preschool students is the name of each day of the week. Every morning I ask them what day it is. The children respond by guessing the day. On the fourth day of one week, I asked my usual question, and after several children guessed wrong, I said, “It’s Thursday! Thursday!” After a moment of puzzled silence, one child said in frustration, “Miss Dana, you change the answer every day!” By Dana West, from Catholic Digest, December, 1987
