PARDON GRANTED
Our stance must be like a prisoner in the Texas penitentiary. The governor came for a visit. After addressing the convicts, he listened to them as they told him of their innocence. Some claimed they had been framed, others spoke about injustice or judicial mistakes, still others asked to be free. But one man said, “I just want to say that I am guilty. I did what they sent me here for. But I believe I have paid for it, and if I were granted the right to leave here, I would do everything I could to be a good citizen and prove myself worthy of your mercy.” This man was the one the governor pardoned. We have been pardoned. Even more, we have been predestined, called, justified, and glorified.
