GONE TO THE UPPER ROOM
Bishop Emerson Colaw tells the story of Roy Short, later a bishop himself, who complained to the president of his alma mater, “What do I have to do to get on your mailing list? Ever since I went to the Upper Room as editor, I’ve heard nothing from you.” The President then went to check his records, and found that Roy Short was listed as deceased. asking his secretary how this could have happened, he was told, “Well, you told me he had gone to the Upper Room.” From Homiletics, Volume 4, Number 4, October- December, 1992
