CONSISTENT CHANGES I
‘m going to be real honest, it’s whole lot easier to live out your faith somewhere else than it is to live it out at home. It’s hard to be a Christian, to live a truly changed life, in your own hometown. Let me give you an example. My mother is very proud of my being a United Methodist Minister. My whole family is, as long as I’m in Texas. I’m not being mean when I say that. There’s a phenomenon about going home. No matter what I am when I’m here, when I go back to my folks house, there is a part of me that is always that little boy they knew. It’s hard to be more than just that grown up little boy who used to get in trouble for fighting with his brothers, or who smart-mouthed and got his mouth washed out with soap or who was yelled at for playing his stereo too loud or…
