UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
Many years ago in England, an illiterate couple were saved through the witness of street preachers who wore red sweaters with slogans of testimony sewn on them. Wanting to identify with their new found family, they prayed for God to allow them such a uniform without having to admit their illiteracy. Within a few days, she saw a sign in a shop window that seemed easy to duplicate though she did not know its message. After she cut out and sewed the letters to their new sweaters, they joined the group on the street with some apprehension. However, the group praised the selection of the message they had chosen and many remarked that it was the best choice of all. Replacing the shame of ignorance with an overzealous curiosity, they asked what the message said and were thrilled to hear the reply, “Under New Management.” By Billy Hamm, from Baptist Bible Tribune, January, 1993
