THE SEVENTH INNING STRETCH
The seventh inning stretch was started by President Taft, unintentionally. He stood up to take the kinks out of his knees during a game in Washington D.C. and thinking that he was leaving, the entire stadium full of fans respectfully rose with him. Taft sat down again, but the tradition endured. From Steve Morrison
