IN THE WRONG GROUP
My younger sister, as a second grader, was a proud member of the Bluebird reading group. She told me that they were the best, the Redbirds were not quite as good, and the Yellow Birds had the hardest time learning. Try as we may to dress up and disguise the truth, it is still the truth and kids figure it out. Thinking of that reminded me of the man who consistently brought his work home with him from the office. When his son asked him why he always had to do that, the father explained that he just couldn’t get it all done during the day.
