CAESAR OR JESUS
Please notice with some interesting comparisons between Jesus and Caesar. Each, remember, had faithful and devoted followers who believed each was God. 1. Caesar was the ruler of the vast Roman Empire. He was one of the greatest rulers the world had ever known. — Jesus was a humble carpenter. 2. Caesar was one of the great military geniuses of all time. — Jesus walked only the dusty roads of Palestine conquering only individuals. 3. To follow Caesar could mean glory, money and even political office. — To follow Jesus was to become an outcast of society. It could mean persecutions, hardships and death. 4. Caesar always had the rich and famous at his side. — Jesus gathered to himself a hated tax- collector, the poor, and some fishermen. 5. Caesar died a spectacular death which his friends immediately vowed to avenge. His death shook the whole Roman Empire. — Jesus died in shame, denied by his friends, on a cross…
