CHURCH IN SILK PAJAMAS
When Eddy Arcaro retired as one of the nation’s most successful jockeys back in 1962, a reporter asked him if he still got up early to walk his mounts around the track when dew was still on the ground. Arcaro confessed frankly, “It becomes difficult to get up early once a guy starts wearing silk pajamas.” The Christian Church seems to be in the silk pajama stage. It gets harder and harder to rise early.
