GRAND REBELLION
Four year old Susanna was staying with her grandfather for the weekend. She played and played, and by the end of the day her toys were all over the den. Being a good grandfather and wanting to teach his granddaughter to be responsible, he said to her, “Now Susanna, you’re through playing, so pick up all your toys and put them away.” And she said, “No, Granddaddy, I’m tired.” Granddaddy said, “Susanna, you must get down there and pick up your toys. Now get down there right now!” Susanna didn’t like that, but reluctantly and pouting, she did begin to pick them up. Then she looked at her granddaddy out of the corner of her eye and muttered, “Just who made YOU king of the world?” From “Lord, I Have Sinned But I Have Several Excellent Excuses,” by James W. Moore, Abingdon Press, Nashville 1991, pg. 73
