BEASTS AND CHILDREN
In the spring of 1994, a jogger was killed by a mountain lion in California. Trackers with dogs hunted down the mountain lion and destroyed it. They spared the mountain lion’s cubs. The jogger was also a mother. She left behind children, and a fund was established to help raise the children of the woman and educate them. A fund was also established to help care for the cubs. And you guessed it — The lion cubs received more financial help than the children of the woman. Now we have paid money to get into football games, passes for the fair, equipment to make life and work easier. Do we also make an investment in eternal values like spreading the gospel? Does our giving indicate we think that children are as important as the lions of our world?
