THE YELLOW ONES HAVE HEPATITIS
When we were still serving as missionaries in Ecuador, there were frequent cases of hepatitis and one of the symptoms is a yellowing of the skin. One day, my children and I were discussing the song “Jesus Loves the Little Children.” We talked about the different colors and how the red children were Indians and the white were us, the brown were like the Ecuadorians we ministered to, etc. I asked, “And who are the yellow children?” Without hesitancy, my daughter piped up, “Oh, those are the ones with hepatitis.” I guess you can always tell a good M.K.!
