WHEN ARE YOU GOING?
“How soon after Christmas are you going to heaven?” Her five-year-old grandson’s question was so stunning that she stopped making the sandwiches for their lunch. For a minute all she could do was try to grasp the impact of what he had asked. Christmas was only three weeks away! As Keith sat waiting quietly for an answer, she went through a quick time of soul-searching reflection. Then she smiled at him and said, “If Jesus wants me to come and live with him in heaven after Christmas, I’ll be glad to go.” Her answer was from her heart. Ten minutes later she laughed softly to herself as she realized that Keith had meant to ask how soon after Christmas I would leave on a trip to the Holy Land.
