KILLER IN THE CURE
A medical student was doing a rotation in toxicology at the poison control center. A woman called in and was quite upset. She had caught her little daughter eating ants. The medical student quickly reassured her that the ants are not harmful, and there would be no need to bring her daughter into the hospital. The woman calmed down, and at the end of the conversation happened to mention that she had taken precautions and had given her daughter some ant poison to eat to make sure the ants were dead. The medical student told the woman to go ahead and bring her daughter on down to the emergency room–RIGHT AWAY!Reported as an actual account
