INEFFECTIVE DECEPTION
A little boy is sitting on the school bus talking to a friend and says, “At breakfast my stomach hurt, I was dizzy and my throat was sore. But my mom didn’t buy it.” We can come up with all kinds of excuses for doing something we don’t want to do, can’t we? We can fake an illness or make ourselves believe almost anything. But the only one we ever fool is ourselves. Oh, we might fool a few others occasionally but we never fool God. Honesty is still the best policy.
