THE PROBLEM WITH PEA SOUP
In a recent Dennis the Menace cartoon, Dennis and his pal Joey are eating lunch. Joey has this forlorn disgusted look on his face. And it’s obvious that Mrs. Mitchell has asked what is wrong. Dennis replies: “Joey liked it until I told him it was Pea Soup.” Isn’t that just like us? We think we like something until we find out it might be good for us. Or until we get exactly what we want. Then it doesn’t’ seem to satisfy. From Dennis the Menace by Hank Ketchum, October 21, 1991
