SECOND SHALL BE FIRST
At a family gathering, a father was trying to start his snowmobile, so that he could give his children and nieces and nephews a ride. His two daughters, three nephews and two nieces were climbing all over the snowmobile so they could position themselves for the first ride. While doing all this, they were arguing over who would get to go first. Finally, the man announced, “The next one I hear who wants to go first will be the last one.” The man’s younger daughter, thought for a moment and then said, “I want to be second!” Adapted from an account by Marge Srok, Nevis, Minnesota
