CAST YOUR BREAD UPON THE WATERS
W. A. Criswell, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas, wrote of an experience he had in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Criswell preached in the downtown Baptist church. The pastor of the church had a doctor’s degree in medicine, a doctor’s degree in psychiatry, and a doctor’s degree in theology. He was a man full of grace. When Dr. Criswell came back to the southern Baptist Seminary in Buenos Aires, he mentioned this pastor to the faculty members and told how impressed he was with the young man. They said, “You do not know where he came from, do you?” Dr. Criswell said, “No.” They said, “This afternoon you were a guest in the home of an aged missionary with whom you had tea. You did not know, but years ago that missionary was in a marketplace in Buenos Aires. One day there came to the marketplace a poor, bedraggled woman who had a little baby…
