“No Eye Had Seen” (or similar) Narrator: Joy’s Story: December 25, 1982 was the first Christmas that Joy spent as a single mother. It wasn’t the same as Christmases before, but the presence of her two preschool children comforted her and gave her a sense of belonging. But the next Christmas was devastating when her children spent December 25, 1983 with their father. Joy was completely alone. Christmas is not meant for such solitude, such loneliness, such despair. Christmas is a story of God’s visitation–God is with us. Song: “God Is with Us” or “Joy to the World” (or similar) Narrator: Doris has seen Christmas celebrated throughout the world. Her father was in the military, and as a child, she and her family traveled with him. Her family lived in many countries and participated in various Christmas traditions. But one thing was constant in her family; they celebrated Christmas with friends. Her family would invite company to their home for Christmas–those who had nowhere else…
