GRACE’S GIVING
Grace was a retired school lunch room employee who lived on a very fixed income. And Grace tithed. Not only did Grace tithe, but she gave much more than the “second mile” giving. Grace always gave five dollars in honor or memory of any of the Church members who died. She always gave two dollars to every special missions project. She supported the children and youth by baking cookies for their weekly meetings. Grace’s biggest gift to the Church was the birthday and anniversary cards she sent to every member. Grace thoughtfully picked out a card for everyone. They were always spirit-lifters. When Grace died, her family found three months worth of birthday and anniversary cards already filled out. Each one had a date for mailing penciled in where the stamp would go. The family honored Grace’s love for her Church family and her ministry by mailing those cards. Why did Grace take this on?
