WHAT REALLY COUNTS
Colin Morris former president of the United Church in Zambia who now serves as pastor of City Temple in London tells how God opened his eyes in a moment of truth. He writes: “I remember that day when I was reading the weary arguments of a church conference about what should be done with leftover communion bread, whether it should be fed to the birds or eaten by the ministers. As I read, there was a knock on my door to tell me that a Zambian had dropped dead not a hundred yards from my front door. The doctor said he died of hunger. In light of that incident, I saw that the survival that really counts is not that of the church but that of the starving little man with the shrunken belly.”
