ROLE OF SMALL GROUPS
Small groups are usually understood to be groups of less than twenty people. Small groups are not just a nice optional idea. They are an optimum size to enhance mutual interaction. They are the only effective way to allow churches to continue to grow and yet maintain levels of intimacy within the church. Here are several advantages of allowing small groups to be the very heart of growing churches: Small groups foster intimacy with a small group of friends. The group knows, cares and misses each other. Small groups allow accountability and meaningful prayer for the needs of the others. Small groups provide a built-in two way communication system for church leadership to stay in contact with all levels of the congregation.
