PUTTING THE LIGHT TOGETHER
Imagine that you are lost and alone in the woods. The sun has been down for several hours, you are cold and have no sense of direction. You settle down beside a tree and resign yourself to hoping for the daylight. Suddenly you see a light flicking around in the darkness. There is a person holding a light and he is coming toward you. The person moves with confidence and purpose. Suddenly the person stops and talks with you. He tells you about his light, how it helps him travel safely in the dark. How the light will guide him safely back to basecamp. Then he asks if you would like a light also. You respond that you would love one. So your new friend gives you a box and explains that in the box you will find a bulb, a cylinder, a cap, reflector, two batteries, lens and a switch. He tells you to put it all together…
