CHURCH DAFFYNITIONS:
Bulletin Board – a feeling of monotony caused by a repetitive bulletin format. Organ Donor – any person who contributes a large amount of money to the purchase of a church organ. Cistern – ones we should be lifting up when we are not upholding the brethren. Hymns – opposite of “hers”. Church Register – The vent cover over the church furnace. “Dropped from the Register” – the process of church discipline using the “trial by fire” method. Pious – having made too many trips to the dessert table at the potluck. Pastorate – past tense of “Pastor eat” which is an imperative statement seldom required at potlucks. Pride – process used to detach church members from the television set to attend an evening service.
