DOUBLE-MINDED
Double- minded means to look both ways at the same time. You are indecisive and lack conviction. Your favorite color is plaid. You speak in footnotes, not confident enough to claim an opinion for yourself. You get on the elevator, and when the operator asks, “Going up?” You respond, “Yes, if it’s not out of your way.” James describes such a person as “like the surf of the sea,” constantly pulled in different directions.
