GIVE-AND- TAKE IN MARRIAGE
As a young girl in grammar school, I was sitting in class enjoying a flavorful piece of gum when my teacher walked up to me and said, “Well young lady, did you bring enough gum for the rest of the class?” Of course I hadn’t! I’d only had myself in mind when I stopped at the store on my way to school. And so it is with those of us who are marriage-minded. On the way to matrimony many of us only have ourselves in mind.
