POPULAR COUNSELOR
A couple with marital problems went to a counselor to see what could be done to repair their marriage. The wife began to sob uncontrollably as she poured out her heart. Suddenly the counselor got up, went over and gave her a hug. The sobbing stopped and she became calm. With that the counselor looked over at the husband and said “I know the solution to your wife’s problem. Your wife needs at least three hugs a week.” The husband replied, “I’ll bring her here Monday, Wednesday and Friday.” I have used this story a few times in a message on marriage but one time I was given another ending to the story. At the end of one service a lady came up and asked if I could give her the name of the counselor.
